whats up with ddr4 prices. I bought these a year ago, and its double the price now (it is double its lowest price, but not quite the price I paid).
This is still one of the cheapest 2x16GB ddr4 modules so its not that production of this specific sku has stopped or something.
whats the deal, its been going up in price for like 10 consecutive months.

There's a supply shortage in china right now, most likely fueled by rising demand and the fact that they're making DDR3 and DDR4 simultaneously.
It's not as bad as the early 2010s when the floods were happening though

so if I were to buy another set in the next year. would it probably be to do it now. or do things like this sort themselves out in relatively short order?
I feel like ram usually gets commoditized faster than this.
