Why does reddit like to suck gimps cock so much? One time I had to quickly edit a photo on a computer without photoshop on it, so I used gimp, and it was really the most unbearable experience I've had with a program.

As someone who has been using gimp for years it's frustrating at first but after you get used to the shortcuts and installing plugins gimp is the best free photo editor out there.

It's never going to beat photoshop because it has a few little features vanilla gimp doesn't. Also compared to gimp it looks good as a professional skill whereas most employers have no idea what gimp is.
