I was wondering if anyone have thought of a way to crack down data through NFC tech for bus transit cards and such.

CCC hackers in German did some work years ago. New cards have fairly strong crypto built in. Old cards had DES or 3DES. New cards have AES. There are exceptions, but this is the situation in the developed world, i'm pretty sure.

Google mifare.
