I'm learning racket in into to programming.
>>59062925
learn c++, it's probably the best choice for first language
>>59062925
Yes.
Most people do:
a) what everyone does
b) what is the most simple way
Go write some LISP games!
>>59062925
Language is only relevant to the extent where you need libraries or other peoples code.
The reason people learn using C++ is C++ has good libraries people actually use.
Learning programming is not about learning the syntax of a programming language, it is about learning how to think procedural, how to implement algorithms and recognize problems so you can apply solutions to new problems.

>C#

There is a book about it ; land of lisp
>>59062925
You should definitely learn some LISP dialect because it will improve you as a programmer. If making games is how you want to practice, then go ahead.
But C/C++ is still probably a better choice for making "real" games.
Why is lisp such a meme?
Any good resources explaining memetic power of lisp in more details than "it has macros and high order"?
