Is there a good Tetris game for Android?
Picrelated version from EA was basically perfect in terms of gameplay, but a total shit otherwise.

All I want is a simple Tetris game that launches fast, runs fast, and has tight swipe controls.
Is there anything out there for me?
>>
>>59062109
Exactly what makes it shit?
>>
Can I get /g/spg/'s consensus on the OP 3T? What do you hate about it? What makes it great (besides price tag)?

Also why is Applel not bankrupt from a $439 phone beating the iPhone 7 P L U S in a speed/heat test? Like fucking come on.
>>
Just ordered an lg stylo 2 plus, opinions? T mobile gave me no other options besides iPhones so either way I'm stuck with it

But if this phone actually looks like that, props to Samshit for learning how to into aesthetic. They just need to have their software devs do the same with Touchjizz.
>>
>>59062190
Only downside of the OP3T is the phablet size (subjective) and lack of SD card support, but unless you're the autismo type that needs all his 500 hours worth of music, several seasons of 10 bit chinese cartoons and every single emu+ROM ever known to mankind, 64GB is enough.

I've gotten a refurbished Thinkpad and it came with internal pieces of the case snapped off as well as a broken clasp on the screen bezel. Might not be everything, but after a wigger took my phone I got another one, refurbished, and it's dog shit in quality in comparison. I wouldn't trust it.
>>
>>59062177
Incredibly slow interface and insane loading times for a fucking Tetris game. If I want to play Tetris, I want it immediately. Not after it goes through all the splash screens and retarded animations and menu transitions and loading screens. It takes about 25 seconds on my Nexus 5 from starting the app to playing the game, it's actually ridiculous.

Ads. Microtransactions (not sure if they were present in the version in my pic, but they are in the latest one).

I'm losing hope in finding an alternative, I guess I'll have to start over in writing my own Tetris close.

>managed to talk down the price of a OP3 with a broken screen to 200€
>screen replacement would take 120€ if I get it on aliexpress and at least 30 days before I get it

Most OP3 in good conditions go for 320€ on ebay,
this one doesn't even have accessories.
Tried offering 170€ at first and even that wasn't too much of a deal for me.
Should I wait a few days before haggling some more? There's no way he'll sell it for the price he's asking.

I might just go for a lenovo p2 in the meanwhile or get another used OP3 in better conditions.

Hi /g/, never posted here before. I just dropped my Galaxy S4 and the screen is broken so this gives me an excuse to buy a new phone finally. I've had the S4 for the past 6 years, and I'm wondering what my next phone should be. I'm in the U.S. and I have Verizon. I liked the general size of the S4, it's nice and slim, while not being overly wide or long. Features wise, I'd like to have a nice camera, possibly a 4k screen, ample storage, and a decent battery life.

My Note 2 served me well, but it's starting to get outdated and annoying to charge. I want a new phone.
I'm satisfied with the Note 2's size so big phones are not a problem.
I use my phone for work, so it needs to be fast and up to date, and has to be android. Outside of that I use it mostly for browsing, and music whenever I step outside. A good camera would be nice. Good battery life is very nice to have too. Storage size will most likely not be an issue with or without SD card support, seeing the amount most phones come with now.
I live in France and my carrier is Free. And I'd like to spend around 400€ at most.

I was thinking OnePlus 3T, but I'm a bit wary seeing it's a chinese company. Most current flagships are too expensive for my budget (and too expensive period, imo), and the Note 7 was a disaster anyway.
What do?

I've been looking into the Zuk Z2 for a while now and just about ready to pull the trigger. I've never bought a phone off one of these chinese sites, and I'm a bit nervous about giving them my money. On Amazon the phone is $245, but its only $180 on banggood, which seems like a great deal. Is it worth the risk to save $65?

tldr; should I trust chinese sites or stick to amazon?
>>
>>59069128
Indeed it does. It's going to use the SD821 processor since Samsung is manufacturing all SD835s and gets to exclusively use them for a few months because of that. I wouldn't worry too much though, SD835 brings the smallest performance jump in a decade. Also it's supposed to be a bit more power efficient.

Green check is partial band support. The Redmi has bands 2 and 4 but is missing band 5 and 17. B17 is AT&T's main LTE band so I wouldn't expect to have LTE everywhere.

If you want a chinkphone with full support for AT&T's network bands I'd look at LeEco Le Max 2

I actually started writing my own almost a year ago. Didn't work out for many reasons, but the main one: you should probably not release it on Google Play store, unless you want trouble.
I contacted the Tetris company, see picrelated.

TL;DR: You can't make a FOSS Tetris clone and release it for free with no ads on Google Play store, because you need a license you'll never get, or you'll get sued.

I'll still probably make my own Tetris game at some point and release it on F-Droid only.

I'm not much of a power user, but for reference, a SD801 is more than enough power for what I do, so having the latest and greatest isn't a priority, same goes for the ram, more than 2 is nice, but 2 is all I need. That's weird when the company that's making the new Nokia phones was formed only 9 months ago

>we are yet to see a real device, a real device that can be purchased by anyone
But they're already selling two phones, Nokia 6 and Nokia 150

>or any hints on prices or specs other than rumours.

Yeah, it's a great phone, especially for music. front facing stereo speakers, one of the best DACs on the market and a MicroSD slot.

Yeah having owned an amoled screen phone previously I think it might have been worth the extra money for the pro edition depending on how long before I upgrade.

my 5" phone is barely noticeable most of the time in my trouser pocket, which worries me seeing as someone could just take it without me noticing

It's a meme, software is so buggy and that awful home button which you have to use as a back and recents button too is annoying.

I'm on a Z5 Premium. I've heard Nougat is rolling out, but for the last week or so I've been stuck with this.

Any suggestions for a fix?

If you're on T-Mobile I'd get the S7 Edge now while it's selling for $360. Otherwise might as well wait until after MWC

Yes

My only question to you is why you are considering the Blackberry.
>>
>>59079159
Thanks for answering, but not sure why I thought another answer would be reassuring. I see guides to do it, but some people say it doesn't work and what not.

Is the /g/ memephone and provider still zenfone 2 and T-Mobile?

If not what is it now?
>>
>>59077199
Blackberry is kill, unforrtunately
>>
>>59079308
Now that TWRP works on the Nougat you can just flash SuperSU in recovery like you'd do on Marshmallow
>>
>>59079340
Zenfone 2 never was the /g/ memephone, it's a piece of shit
>>
Currently rocking lgv20 and I love it
>>
>>59079402
What is the meme phone then
>>

Redmi Note 3 Pro
>>

>>
>>59079453
Good luck on that bootloop.
>>
>>59079527
Yes. Meme phone = it's recommended so hard here it's become a meme. Another /g/ meme would be thinkpads.

Fell for the Redmi Note 3 Pro meme. No regrets. Bought my sisters Moto G3 and G4, solid choices as well. Friend has 1+, works great.

>>59079374
That makes sense. Thanks again.

Can I fug your sister, I'll give her My Moto Zeamen

Feeling some buyers remorse this morning after the tmo sale. Bought the v20 but could have gotten the s7 edge for the same price. It's not like the custom room support for the v20 is even good (no secondary screen and lose access to camera functions). Now I have no amoled, just an IPS... Why did I do it?
>>
>>59079661
Naw man with innovative like Steady Record 2.0
You made a good choice
>>
>>59079661
Buy both and sell the phone you like less
>>
>get new phone
>go to flash CM
>deprecated
Well what the fuck do I do if I'm a boring bastard now?

Cyanogenmod is now called LineageOS
>>
>>59071246
Can you add tetrinet features; it's multiplayer battle Tetris
>>
>>59079713
The sale is over I think. But not a bad idea.

>>59079682
Yeah camera functionality is supposed to be good. And I ended up loving swappable batteries for my aging galaxy s4. Could have done worse; it was on sale for 500 a few days ago. Just hope the ips isn't as inferior to amoled as some day.
>>
>>59079755
Not supported. Should have clarified my 'new' phone is an old phone (Xperia Z2)
How is Paranoid?

>How is Paranoid?
I used to use Paranoid with my Nexus 4 many years ago, they were good back then.

Don't know how they are currently.

Because security. Everyone tell me "blackberry is for security and for people who really work".
I have an iPhone 6s for its security but the system is close so is impossible to work: like edit documents, attached files etc.
Passport have big scream and it have an internet experience similar to laptop, so..
But the lack of apps scare me..

I really don't know what to choose..
>>
>>59079809
>swapping batteries
This is pretty much my number one "must" for smartphones, and the v20 was about everything I wanted. However, seeing as my v10 bootlooped and LG wouldn't repair it for free, I wasn't going to risk the v20.
Got the HTC10 instead since it was on sale and I could get red without paying 20x the price. Actually should have bought two and done that now that I think of it.
HTC10 is nice, got some features I love, but still miss some stuff from the v10. Mostly the battery. Once this thing starts dying I don't know if I'll just get rid of it, get a third party to replace it, do it myself, or get HTC to do it.

Get one of the android Blackberries then. Blackberry Mercury is being announced at MWC

>for security and for people who really work
Are they stuck in the late 2000s? Maybe it's just me but I can't see Blackberry somehow being more secure than any other Android phone out there. Like thinking HP is more secure than Dell despite both having Windows 10. Maybe somehow via hardware, but I doubt it myself.

I guess someone else can chime in if I'm completely wrong.

Otherwise, the OnePlus will blow the Blackberry out of the water and probably has the latest, if not just later, Android updates. Will probably fit better in your pockets, assuming you don't wear khakis or cargo pants.

Forget my first part. As soon as I submitted I realized the Passport isn't one of the Blackberries with Android.
