I am currently looking to buy a GPU around the £350-£450 mark.Should I wait until vega or should I embrace the Nvidia gimping?

Waiting for Vega would be ideal.
Either Vega will be good enough to warrant the purchase, or you'll get a better deal when older GPU's on both sides inevitably drop price for the release.
