Alright technologically savy anons, here is the question. What do you see is install for the future of bitcoin and other cyrptocurrency's? I know I could of or maybe should of posted this on /biz/ but i'd like to get an idea on where you (technology enthusiats/professionals and noobs) see it going. Obviously there is potential to make money using the volitilaty of the curency but do you see bitcoin or another cyrpocurrency really taking off. Is bitcoin overvalued and bound to fail? or will bitcoins be worth 10s or even 100s of thousands of dollars?
The floor me dear friends is yours.

Technology was a mistake.
Bitcoin was even more of a mistake

The real red pill about it after researching it lately:
1. Any alt coin can be replaced by forking its source or just making another, or shilling for another.
2. The overwhelming majority of alt coins semi-require coin donations to their devs. That's why they exist.
3. It's a stupid meme that democratic governments are always worse than anon devs.
Your first mistake was thinking that /g/ is a technology board.
Bitcoin and the technology behind it, blockchain, have huge potential. Every bank and pretty much every industry is looking into ways of incorporating blockchain technology into their already existing services.
Bitcoin itself is filling gaps in emerging markets that have less secure payment options, and will likely continue to grow to the point where it's considered a gold-like standard from which we can base fiat currencies on.

Altcoins are mostly ponzi schemes. That said there are a few that are trying to do great things, if you take the time to look at their website or white paper. It's a shame ethereum isn't in a great place as it seemed a nice platform for devs to make blockchain applications.
Anyone have an idiot-proof step by step tutorial on how to create a cryptocurrency? I`m trying to get my head around it.
