What's the best speech-to-text software?

I write a lot, and using Google Docs for it isn't always the best option. I'm looking for something that would support live editing of the text, while recording further at the same time.

Have a pretty picture of RMS.

Use google's speech to text and stream it to an editor in the form lf messages appending to the end of the text.

Probably could be easily done using neovim.

How even? I'm constantly switching between Windows 7 and Debian Stable while working, and I'm hardly a technical person.

In a perfect world, a solution I'd love is to just talk to my phone and point on my computer where I need the text inserted, but that's going to be in the far future, I don't think it's possible yet.
