I run SLI 1080/4790k with 600w psu and i'm doing just fine, the highest power draw i've ever seen is occt psu test, and it peaked just over 500w, in real use scenarios(4k witcher 3 for example) power draw rarely exceedes 400w from wall

Power consumption will only go down from now on. Maybe up in Intel's line because they may only have clock speeds to get their performance in new gens. But should be fine because it's the GPU's that hogg watts.

I did a psu calculator with my setup and the recommended psu with the 1080 was 400 watts. With Titan XP its 470 watts.
