I bought pic related and I want to make it so I can use it to both time machine my mac and use it to store my porn on my windows machine

I'm thinking about partitioning 1TB for time machine or 500GB and the remaining space format it to NTFS for windows since I download all my porn and chinese cartoon on my windows.

bonus points if I can encrypt my ntfs partition that I can access on my mac. I'm planning to watch some chinese cartoon on my mac through the ntfs partition as well since ntfs has a native read only from mac

so /g/uys, is this too much to ask for in 2017 or can I actually do it?

Accessing NTFS on macOS is a pain in the ass.
Format it to fat32 if you want cross-OS access.

I was looking at that but there is not journaling (?) and it's more prone to fragmentation and may corrupt the files easily.

I will use this for porn and chinese cartoons so indexing option would be nice

what app would those be? I currently use a usb2 hdd for time machine and it's pretty slow so I wanna use this for time machine to speed up the back ups

Its a fucking DATA disk, not a disk you will load up an entire OS on it, it will be perfectly fine you nigger.

Be sure to use MBR partitioning, Windows doesn't like GUID partitions created by a Mac.
