One time I brought my laptop to work and installed Gentoo on it. Literally. It was a slow piece of shit so compiling everything took most of the day, but everyone saw a laptop with a bunch of command-line shit on the screen next to my desk with me occasionally attending to it, so they assumed I was in the middle of some technical task.
All I actually did was browse some news sites and wait for Gentoo to install all day.
Used to work for a television and appliance repair business. Was hired for physical board repair and was the only one left at work that could do it. Was quitting in a week so I just stacked up a pile of totally fucked TV logic boards and occasionally held a soldering to one of them and moved it to a different pile. rest of the time I was just browsing the internet. At this point the only boss left was so incompetent that the business went into liquidation about a month after I quit.
