So i have this crappy 2008 macbook me and a buddy are going to use as a second screen for at school and we were wondering do we keep it at windows 8.1 or go to windows 10? Cpu: core 2 duo t8300, gpu: 8600gt 2 gigs of ram.

If you're concerned with privacy, it doesn't matter at this point because updates brought 7, 8 and 8.1 to the same levels of spyware of Win10. Workarounds are autist glue code shit that breaks your OS.
Anyways, go for Windows 10. No point in grabbing an inferior copy.
