Defense contractors are arguably one of the few corporations pushing forward technological advances without abandon. What does /g/ think of them, their products, their role i society, etc?
easy way to get a nice gig that pays well if you already have a clearance.
anyway, night night.
I think defense contractors make some cool shit which usually has a lot of application in civilian stuff but they are now a days douchebags and pricks who are ripping off the people at a massive scale.
I blame the immoral and corrupt politicians but to be honest, the 'machine' is so entrenched now i doubt anything will ever change

I interview people from defense contractors all the time and the majority of people there really aren't bright and coast on clearances.
I know a socially awkward guy that works at Raytheon. He spent most his time trying to get advice from a bunch of nerds on getting laid. He spent half his time spending massive amounts of money on stupid ass gifts for random ass women he was going on dates with but barely got to the sex part. Wonder if he ever got a clue that they were using him for the free shit.

Id be perfectly fine with weapons manufacturers if they were actually used for defense. I wouldnt be able to morally justify working for them knowing what companies like them facilitate.

the leadership that makes the decisions for the company can certainly have personal qualities
