Yo /g/ I am in possession of a mid 2011 macbook air, 200gb flash hd, 4gb ram, 11 inch... and i can return it for around $400 buckaroos, or possibly make it into a media server for my room. What does /g/ suggest?

I wouldn't mind swapping it for something slim, really digging the micro-laptop 11 inch form but perhaps would like something more durable? idk how that would work with a slim form factor, don't think there's a thinkpad that's similar specs as far as form factor goes, but what does /g/ suggest?

inb4 not tech support help me pick the best option planning to be on it a lot and hopefully travel, perhaps i'll just keep this apple.......

i am leaning towards returning it but am unsure of any comparable laptops, i'd like some modern specs for a similar price but don't know what would offer this form factor that i have fallen in love with like literally

no suggestions? i might as well keep the air, i don't know what would provide comparable outcome and i'm used to the mac os, it's too bad i can't find something better for the refund, mighta even added an additional hundred bucks

The Macbook Air's strengths are its light weight, small size and long battery life.
Every other parameter has been affected by these design choices.
Using it as a server is sorta wasting most of its advantages.

and i enjoy it for those features, although battery life for laptops seems to suck in general... any recommendations for replacement machines with similar form factor but better specs? or uses for a macbook air when a replacement is purchased?
