I was wondering why native support for PDF files on Paperwhite is so abysmal? It BARELY works.
Is it the lack of hardware power or just a neglect in a software department?
Just use your phone with an amoled screen like a normal human being.

>Just use your phone with an amoled screen like a normal human being.
That doesn't really answer the question.
Use k2pdfopt to pre-process your PDFs :)

Yes it does, using a phone with an amoled screen to read your shitty second rate novels is ideal. e-readers have become irrelevant since like 2010 because of amoled.
Software is abyssmal. This is the same kindles that run gameboy emulators at fullspeed.

>Yes it does
It proves that you are autistic, but does not answer the question in OP. You can be retarded all you want.

>tripfag in charge of being stupid
Always amusing.

Support for PDF files is abysmal on almost everything because it's a fucking mess of a format, and almost half of he PDFs in the wild don't even adhere to the specs. For example, they include an offset table to efficiently locate offsets in the file, but guess what? A file that omits the table entirely (breaking the speak, BTW) will still display OK in Acrobat. Therefore, tons of people make really bad PDFs and software needs to bend over backwards to accommodate as wide a variety of this shit as possible. It's honestly a surprise that some PDF readers (evince, Sumatra, etc) work as well as they do.
