Mint website was hacked for 1 day.
Feb 20th 20 2016.
The cinnamon 64bit download link was altered to point to a trojan infected iso.
The md5sum was not altered.
If you had downloaded that version iso that day, you could mount it and visually check to see it the trojan file was present.
The website was http:// at the time, it's now https://, although I'm not sure if it's still a wordpress site.
And frankly, it's the security of wordpress that was the sketchy factor.

Ok

Does Mint support UEFI as good as native Ubuntu?
>>
>>59005611
Fedora Ubuntu and Mint has a secure boot signing key, if that's what (You) mean.

These. Install Debian GNU/Linux.

Testing doesn't have this problem. You could also use hurd.

How stable is Debian testing compared to Ubuntu LTS?
>>
>>59005636

Why only those three?

Debian is pretty much the only distro you should bother installing. Everything you need to know about it is in the free Debian Handbook. You can customize it to look exactly like Mint if you wanted or make it look like Elementary OS. You can also run Debian as a rolling release OS if you want that kind of OS.

You can also drop in Guix as a package manager in Debian and do functional pkg management if you wanted, with dependency tracking and bit by bit replication of builds.

The site is down but also look at ReactOS it's sort of reverse engineered windows and you can run Photoshop and other shitty MS software with it.
>>
>>59005805
Even more stable. I've never had a problem.
>>
>>59005826
Akshully I think mint just uses ubuntu's.
>>

Thank you, I know that I can install every DE I would like to.
But I especially want a stable and up to date system which has no problem with UEFI because I want to dual boot it with win10, and normal Debian is not up to date kernel vise
