Yeah, kind of, would primarily use it on debian based distros.

a piece of paper with invisible ink

keepass or what.

Looks nice, but I'd rather not store my passwords on someones servers. Is there a locally stored alternative?
>>59002782
But you can save it in an encrypted file. It's less obvious for cucks and gpg is on every system unlike mono.

That looks nice

>trusting some program with the safety and confidentiality of your passwords
The correct way to treat your passwords is to write them down on post-it notes and keep them in a locked safe

Unironically, password-store
You generate a password like "pass generate -c website/username 40" where 40 means 40 characters and -c means copy it to the clipboard after you generate it.
To get that password again you just do "pass -c website/username".
You can have a whole directory structure, like website/username/security_question_high_school_friend" or whatever you want.
It encrypts with gpg and you can select which private key to use.
It also supports git, so you can set up a small git bare repository on your server/vps and just push to that over ssh. Plus if you accidentally delete a password you can just "pass git checkout master~2" or whatever you want.

Two contenders actually, KeePassX and pass. KPX has a command line version too.
