I asked an at&t sales person about cloning my SIM card to use on a tablet I bought. He said they dont do that and I would have to add a whole extra line and pay $10-20 a month. when I wouldnt buy anything, he got pushy and asked "do you really think at&t would just clone SIM cards for people?". well fucking yes I do as a matter of ethics. I have a data plan with a data cap. all at&t is responsible for is getting data to a device I have. Its none of their business which device, as long as I stay within my cap. He said that cloning a SIM card would be "money out of their pocket".
so my question is: does he mean that it costs extra for AT&T to provide data to two separate devices, or that at&t is just losing out on the opportunity to jew me for a second line for $10-20/month?

Yeah fuck AT&T for UNIX

2017 having a mobile data cap, amerifag detected.

They would be occupying bandwidth and time-slots of their system with two of your devices while you were only paying for one. I really don't see why you thought this would make any sense. If you want to use the data in your tablet you can always just tether from the phone.

Modern AT&T is nowhere near Bell Labs

>what is tethering
nigger, are you stupid?
no shit you'd need another line.
