Hey /g/uys. I'm not exactly a tech guy, and I've been thinking of getting an upgrade. (My specs would probably make you guys cringe.) I don't have much money, so I figured a graphics card would be the cheapest option (unless there's something cheaper, preferably an upgrade to my cpu which I might pay more for. I might buy a better fan but I don't think I'll need a recommendation until then.)
My price range is about <250 (Preferably around 200, but if there's a REALLY good one for a little more I can gladly pay.)
Danke schoen.

you're better off asking places like pcpartpicker desu, especially if you make it this painfully obvious you're new (noit a bad thing but retards on here treat it like so)
also, install gentoo.

Holy shit thank you. This website is amazing. I think I might bookmark one of the builds and save.
I found one that's within my price range if I save and has been upvoted with good comments.

Anon, before you decide which part of your pc you want to upgrade, consider the following:
1. What do you use your pc for.
2. Your build overall (cpu, how much ram do you have and your gpu if you play games or render).
3. How much of an upgrade will you get buying X part.

Do you have any friends who are techfags? At that price you're basically scrounging dumpsters for parts. Find some nias who have spare parts and beg like a good little goy.
The rx 470 and a 120gb SSD would be a really noticeable upgrade if you wanted to spend around 250 and play some 1080p games. Otherwise like other anon said check PCPartPicker. Good luck man.

One thing I do vaguely remember however being decent at a poorfag price are the new intel pentiums. Get a new or newish chipset and it should perform respectably. Great if you don't require multithreading
Also make sure that any upgrades you get are compatible with your current hardware. For example, if youre planning on buying a new CPU, you might also have to buy a new motherboard if your current motherboard wont support your new part
