Ok I am struggling here and I don't know what to do other than post a jsfiddle. I have two issues, before I fix one of them its worth finding out if one of the issues is even worth fixing.

Issue 1 is what is the "correct way" to do what I am doing here, where I can add new empty highlight-able grids? Currently I have it so "Add" inserts a new li in a bootstrap tab and delete removes the last li.
Issue 2 that only needs to be fixed if I keep this method, but when I add a new tab, I can't highlight the grid thats added, and I don't know why.

1. You couldn't assign an ID to the current tab and then hitting delete while on that tab removes it?
That's the action i'd expect but I'm no UX designer
2. Keep track of the currently selected grid, through state or otherwise.
