What is better 2x8GB 2667MHz or 2x16GB 2400MHz ? in general

in general you will not notice the difference in speeds

in general you won't notice the difference in size either, unless you need >8GB, then you will obviously notice

The speeds aren't really going to matter unless you've got an APU so just go 2x8GiB unless you need more than 16GiB

there are many vids on jewtube that show some minor gains going from 2133 to 2400 but beyond that there's virtually no gains whatsoever except in a few games (fallout 4 in particular because its terribly optimized and uses a fuckton of texture data) or if you're playing games at really high framerates (144+ FPS).

just go for the 2400MHz.
