Seriously, what's better than Chromium?
>Protip
Nothing.
>>58979382
pale moon. You can't even deny it
>>58979382
you aren't wrong
Firefox is SJW shit with garbage speed, code and soon it is required to have pulseaudio to stream sound, left firefox once ff40 came out, Chromium is better in literally every single aspect ever and can even run under based Wayland
>>58979402
I'm denying it right now fuck boi.
>>58979402
>made by a furry
sorry I don't trust him enough to use his software

>slow
works pretty fast on my machine
>worse than firefox

Firefox and Chromium are both botnets out of the box. The difference is that in Firefox you can disable the botnet and in Chrom[e,ium] you can't.
I'll put up with FF's shit if I can remove the botnet
>>58979382
Why even bother?
It's more convenient to just Email all your info directly to Google and the NSA.
>>58979482
listen here, IM THE ANCAP you can't not an argument me
>CVE details has tons of vulns on old versions of FF and GNU Icecat never gets patches for this, try it out, try exploiting Icecat, I have before
>made by the same person who made GCC
seriously GCC is crap and the GNU userland is crap, I don't trust their coding standards or their software, GNUTLS is considered dangerous and made by the GNU team
>ff based
this is an argument because firefox is literal ass
>slow
Chromium runs faster
>worse than firefox
there was nothing wrong with what i just said here
>>58979517
Chromium is open source, try using wireshark with your own compiled version from a fresh git clone of Chromium and see if it does anything fishy in the background, it doesn't
simply this
>>58979546
magic binary blobs != open source
>>58979558
not gonna lie this is good but not quite Chromium good
>>58979546
It opens connections to Google servers even if you just open it and leave it at a blank tab without going anywhere.
I don't want my browser opening any connections to anywhere except websites I visit. Especially not Google servers.
>>58979558
Hope you enjoy those SJW shitheels selling your info to the highest bidder.
>>58979568
there are no binary blobs
stop spreading misinformation Richard Stallman
>>58979402
I used pale moon for a month on a chromebook before switching back to chromium.
Its slow as shit.
>>58979594
>chromebook
>chromium
Could you possibly shill any harder?
>>58979579
this isn't Google Chrome
try again. Either that or show us a screenshot of these google connections it makes with a freshly compiled version of Chromium that you compiled (not the nightly binary builds)
Anal
>>58979605
I mentioned the chromebook cause most of them have shit specs, mine has some low end celeron and 4gb of ram.
Pale moon gets lauded as a lightweight browser which is why I used it in the first place, but it ran noticably worse than chromium. Sure it used less ram, but it was slow as fuck.

Also I believe that you can't disable Google Safebrowsing, which tells Google every website you visit.

You can, there's an option in the settings. Also your link provides an explanation why and how to prevent google connections.
>>58979796
So google gives you an option like microsoft to turn off something that they based their income on? People trust the sjw globalist corporation?
>>58979878
Run the command, apply the settings and test it in wireshark. Also if you really distrust google that much, then block all their domains in your firewall. You can easily do this in ufw.
