CCNA or Network+?

that's not even the same level.

ccent vs net+

whatever is cheaper
>>
is comptia worth anything??

It's worth a mark on a checksheet from HR at a company that does not understand your role or skill level.
That's about it.

Vendor specific certs are always more valuable, even if the company has product from a different vendor. With vendor specific, you "can" do things, with non-specific you "heard about" being able to do things.
Once you have to deal with someone outside of HR, you'll be glad you have some practiced knowledge.

Yup. Certs are for getting past HR.

Many jobs will follow up with a technical interview, and at that point it's about what you know, not what piece of paper you have. I'm of the opinion that certs are a racket e.g. the Security+ test costs over $300. So dumb

The other value in certs is training for them.

I've learned a bunch of different technologies that we didn't use at my company when I did the MCSE.

CCNA isn't worth dick and A+ is absolutely worthless.

I have both my CCNA and A+ and I just got a job as a network specialist starting at 34/hr. I Live in SoCal and you need to not send others down the wrong path just because it didn't work for you.
