I use Suse and don't even connect to the net that often.
However, I'm still concerned that every time I set up the wireless connection, *someone* is able to see my dickpics, notes, and all. Should be easy enough for them. I have a T430.
Is there any way to have any privacy except using a 20 year old laptop that can't connect to the net at all? Or are we fine? I even fear that the thing is always connected, regardless of your setting. Even with the "hardware" wifi switch off.
I REALLY don't want anyone seeing the images I have.

Get rid of the T430 and buy a T420 to install coreboot on, then youll have full BIOS-level control of the wi-fi card. You cam even keep the Ivy Bridge CPU, Coreboot supports it on the T420.

From the wording of your post, I'm led to believe you have content on your computer that is illegal and well-prosecuted. If this is the case, I suggest you consult a real expert, (as well as a lawyer) and not the morons on this board.
If you're actually paranoid that some government/person is trying to find your dick picks or whatever other self-deprecating pornography youve made read on...
If your main concern is that your computer is somehow networking when you're disconnected from wifi, check a packet sniffer or a system monitor. If you're convinced there is some way for this to be circumvented, I recommend removing your bluetooth and wireless modules from the laptop, and using a separate USB wifi dongle or ethernet whenever you want to connect.
The same applies for your webcam/microphone, remove the internal one and buy something external.
Of course, if you were doing something reasonably illegal, there are tons of malware that you can get WHILE your computer is connected, which can spy on you while you use your computer offline (grab your files once they become temporarily unencrypted, store images, everything is obfuscated), and upload them to some server without your knowing the next time you connect
