So I just got a new laptop (pic related), and immediately noticed that it has a bunch of dead pixels. I counted 12, but there might be more.
How common a problem is this and should I ask for a refund/get it replaced? What's the chance that a new unit would also have it?
Is there some way for me to fix it myself?
I've been using a macbook for 6 years and it doesn't have a single dead pixel...

Check Dells policy. I think you can return it if it has more than 10 dead pixels.

You can return it no questions asked if less than 14 days. If OP calls them Pajeet will offer him like 20% off what he paid if he can live with it though.
so how common is it?
