I had recently bought a pair of Juliett SH-7502 8 ohm headphones. They use a 3/4" male jack so I bought an adapter. When I plugged in the headphones they only worked in the ear closest to the cord. When I used it in an amplifier it worked in both ears. My theory is that the computer can't produce enough ohms. I did some research and i found out that an headphone amplifier might work. Do you guys have any suggestions?

>can't produce enough ohms
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
So would a headphone amp work?

You bought a mono adapter not a stereo one genius

I'm fucking retarded!
Thank you so much!

Amps don't care what impedance load you connect to them. All they have is a minimum impedance warning stating the amp is designed to safely output X watts at X impedance. Infact they dont output at any ohms until a speaker is connected to complete the circuit. If a amp is rated for 100w@ 4ohms it will output 25w @ 8ohms and 400w @ 2ohms. The amp doesn't give a shit, you might though, if your speakers are too quiet or your amp melts down.
