Really happy with it there's almost no cosmetic damage at all
Slight discolouration on the lid where some tape has been removed. Can only see if you look really close though

How much can you get the X2 for?

i got mine for 100bucks, the 400i for 350.
For me, the X2 wins overall over the 400i.
X2 has better soundstage and equal highs, excellent lows but the mids is where the 400i wins.

Also, X2 really clamp onto my huge head while the 400i is more comfortable.

Pretty much the only option I have is importing from Amazon for $250. I found a local used pair, and even though it's supposedly "like new", it's its second owner and it's still about $200. There is a new 400i for that same price on ebay, but I'm not sure if I want to get it. They have some odd import fees, and I'm more used to importing from Amazon, and never had issues.

I mainly want one of them to listen to music, but also really really like the removable cable on the X2, which means I can use a BoomPro when I play something with friends. If the highs and lows are the main strong points on the X2, that would be pretty much perfect for the kind of music I listen to. I can still keep the Clouds as a closed pair if things are loud or I don't want to bother other people, and have an open pair to use when everything is quiet.

My 400is have the removable 2.5mm plug cable.

I can't quite distinguish the highs between the two since the X2 has so much better soundstage, but the 400i are definitely not lacking.

But yeah, the X2 blows everything I've listened to out of the water with its lows.

But uh, I'd recommend the X2 over the 400i if the prices were equal.

Do you have a dac or amp for the headphones though?

A good dac feels like a must for these in my opinion.

An amp, no not necessarily. But I did find that the 400i needed to go quite high on my volume knob on the low setting.

I listen on things from my pc, phone and tablet. All sounds much better via my dac/amp. So the dac does wonders.

Sony a6300 + samyang 12/2 was used for all but the guts shot.

It's mostly just about having a good lens for your dslr and then work with the lights. And post processing helps a lot too.

If you don't have a dslr and is interested in it. Going the canon route with their 50/1.8 lens is a cheap start.
But I've become a sonygger and I greatly recommend the a6300.

Only thing I know is, after using my DAW for a while it kinda breaks and everything sounds bitcrushed to a ridiculous degree. When I de- and reactivate it in Windows' audio settings everything is fine again. I didn't have that problem before, only after I bought the Scarlett.

I had the same issue, type "focusrite" into your windows search and there's an application with one slider bar for the latency or something like that. Slide it to the left until the problem goes away. I did 2 lines at a time. Picture related is the driver download screen on the focusrite website. The 2nd gen download doesn't work with 1st devices, which is what I bought and then proceed to download the 2nd gen one assuming it's the one I had since I paid $150 for it, ended up being a 1st gen, which I'm fine with. The differences in gens isn't noticeable in terms of hardware, the drivers are just different.

the main difference are the inputs, the 2nd gen has new preamps with a little more headroom and gain on the mic inputs and a lot more headroom on the instrument inputs
if you record a lot of DI guitar this might actually be worthwhile, if you don't then the driver revision is much more noticeable than the hardware changes and if it werks there's no reason to swap it

Premiere's GUI actually become pretty intuitive over the last few versions. Only thing a bit confusing still is opacity/volume/speed keyframes, but once you know how to do that everything else is a piece of cake imo.

Not sure, I didn't even know it had two versions, but looking at its user pictures on MFC now apparently only the base has a different logo from what I can see, with one having her skull (the one I have) and the other with Gurren Lagann 5th Anniversary, so I assume the one I own is the oldest.
