Why shouldn't I buy one? I am looking for a laptop with Quad-Core i7 for work and dedicated video card for light gaming. The UX501 is only 6th gen and has a bad screen, the DELL XPS 15 will end up costing upwards of 600 leaf-bucks more. I don't necessarily want a gaming laptop, but they have a much better price for the tech.
The XPS also doesn't have a numpad, which is a very useful thing to have
Lenovo Y700 or Dell i7559
I went with the MSI GE62VR for $1250 and feel very satisfied.
Lenovo Legion

GL553 has several modification, i have GL553VX.
Windows7 issues: win7 has almost no drivers included, most importantly no usb. It could be a problem when trying to install from usb mass storage device using win7 pe. It also is a problem when installing (externally downloaded) drivers form usb. There seems to be no way to get trackpad to work. Current video drivers, when applying some load to video card (so it switches to nvidia gpu), powers on fan at full power and only way to shut it down is system shutdown (at least in one case, restart was no enough). Display has poor viewing angles and contrast.
Otherwise, cpu+gpu are nice; keyboard is very good (but it might be subjective).
