Forget about open source, there is still not even commercial, propriety alternative to Outlook.
Pretty sure Emacs can do that
Mozilla Thunderbird?

Thunderbird, faggot pajeet.
mutt is more powerful.
Thunderbird is a shit bloated software. Literally use anything else like claws or sylpheed.
what do people use outlook for?
is it for people who get a lot of email?
i just check my email on my phone
>>58939931
having a software client like outlook or thunderbird or whatever the fuck is much more convenient if you've got a bunch of active addresses
also depends what you actually use email for desu
>>58937112
just be smart like me and put everything on gmail. pst files are dum anyway and google will keep all your email safe and secure and not open to hackers who can get to the file on your computer and give you a virus because gmail has the best spam blocker and virus blocker ever made and you should just use gmail because its the best and keeps all of your emails from all of your account you have from all over the internet even though all you really need is gmail because you can have a gmail address too

The best alternative I think we have is kolab.
But yea, outlook is fucking brutal.

Pedesta disagrees.
>>58937112
Evolution has existed for a long time. It's not half bad.
Is there an open source alternative that I can use to view .msg files on linux?
I have tried MsgViewer but it is not quite a sophisticated tool.

Same can be said about ANY Microsoft office software. Nothing remotely compares to it.
So many NEETs trying to explain how things work. Here's an example (me) of why Outlook is a thing:
Work for corporate:
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> Integration with Citrix Jabber for VMRs
> room booking
Not to mention my delegates' mailboxes
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
> [email protected]
>>58941850
Literally all of that is possible to use with Thunderbird or Evolution.
>mfw when proprietards believe this is difficult to do
>>58937112
what's wrong with mutt?
>>58942096
Single user, sure
Corporate (or even workgroup) use cases eg. meeting invites that go out automatically with schedule autofill - tricky.
Outlook has lots of PIM functionality that no other software has integrated so well.

>not using web UI

Seriously this, jobless fucks have no idea how business works.
>>58937112
When mail clients wasn't meme every serious man used bat. Outlook is for tasteless poorfags like you.
>>58942133
you mean thunderbird?
>>58944788
That's not pico.
>I'm just shitted in my bad.
>>58939931
Just enterprise shit. It's a part of whole microsoft environment you will find in any corporation. Why anyone would use outlook in private life I don't know, some older people do because they are used to it. I just use thunderbird on desktop and k9 mail on smartphone, handles all my mailboxes nicely. Thunderbird is bloated as fuck but I don't feel like abandoning it yet.
>>58940700
His password was passw0rd or some shit like that
>>58939931
