Because my laptop came with 8gb of ram 4 years ago and its still enough. Since then, I only changed the internal hdd with an ssd and I will use this thing for another 4 years if not more.

Because 2600 pins of DDR3 are sufficient for what I'm doing.

8 GiB is enough, since I don't use Chrome.

Last year, 16gb was 60€ ... now it's 130 € :(
