That dude has an Ableton Push, does all the jobs. Pretty neat, when bought used you can get it around 200$
>>58920229
>Ableton Push
never heard of it. after looking it at, it looks like a really fancy/expensive drum machine. I don't see how it could easily replace a cheapo midi keyboard...
>>58920100
Fucking around with nixie tubes
These colorful setups with 100s of LEDS look pretty nice in a picture, but I can't imagine actually working at one of them, they seem too distracting.
>>58920296
Once you have it figured out it replaces everything

>>58920463
why contort your fingers like that when you can just use a cheap midi keyboard that's super-comfortable? I don't get it.
>>58914149
absolutely retarded
jesus christ
you people have no taste
are you guys all like 15 years old? all these setups are ugly as fuck

Because it has tons of more features and if you use Ableton Live it's perfectly integrated and it helps a lot.
Most people use it ALONG with a normal midi keyboard, but there's always the possibility to use the Push instead of it (which is extra helpful because it has the integration with the Scale midi device) if you don't have the space for both, or if you like the different approach (since it's basically its own instrument for the way it's played).
It can also be used to play live sets, and has many features that help in the production stage.
