just don't fucking turn your monitor into a lamp in a dark room, that's how you fight eyestrain, not by installing some gimmick filter

by the way if you have a monitor with at least semi-good color, the optimal brightness setting for the best colors is always around 20-40%, not fucking 100% to burn you eyes you autistic child

Dude, if you think that's cool, I got this new gadget that'll blow your fucking mind. I can shove it into a USB port, put whatever kind of data I want on it, and then shove it in another USB port and copy that data onto any other device. All without any networking equipment.

Pretty cool, huh?

Okay everyone seems to think this thing is for eyestrain, but it's not, and it doesn't help no matter how much they say it does. What it's for is blue light reduction during hours that you wouldn't be exposed to blue light, which helps maintain your internal clock. So turning on your light is not gonna help with what it's actually for and actually does

It's made for people that don't realise they can turn down the brightness

>>
The best way is not to stare at a screen with white shit all over on the dark.

You would want bias lighting or at the very least a desk lamp instead of this. Unless all you do is reading, piss yellow all over the screen isn't better than what you can do with some light sources around.
>>
>>58911464
I practically only use f.lux with the brightness all the way down
>>
>>58911471
Lighting all around you does not stop the blue light from desynchronizing your internal clock

>>

>>
>>58908521

>>
Turning the brightness down a bit and turning on a fucking light in your room is enough to prevent eye strain.

You're all fucking stupid for using this crap
>>
>>58911959
It has its uses, that's not always enough
>>
My eyes used to hurt to hurt so now I never not use it, interestingly, a friend of mine who had to use glasses, always complained about getting head aches at the PC, while still always keeping it bright as a lamp and sitting way too close to it, but he would never try this sort of program, even complained about me using it.

Is an interesting thread to realize just how bitter some people are on 4chan that they feel the need to belittle others for such a trivial choice with no negative outcomes whatsoever.
