Because Google will take whatever bits of Linux it wants and then irremovably graft bullshit, closed source, botnet, spyware onto it and make it useless without it, like they did with Android. Google gives not a fuck about open source or Linux or free OS alternatives, which is plain by how quickly they're abandoning open source Android components. Whatever happened to the AOSP browser? They'll use Linux as an easy launch pad and then turn it into just another info harvesting cuck fest.

Google is a data mining company dude. That's their cash cow, between analytics and adsense, user data is far and away their biggest income.
