Few days ago, some anon said you could open a gmail without phone number using android phone. So I went ahead and deleted my existing email from phone. I made a new one and immediately there was a new verification page saying "We've detected unusual activity.. Please verify your phone number." How the fuck was there an unusual activity in those 1 sec of opening account? They just lied to get a phone number.

Just use one of your several old accounts you reserved when gmail first came out.

Are you just making a youtube/gmail account?

If so, use an Android phone or tablet.

Settings -> General -> Accounts -> Google

I've used this to sign up dozens of emails without phone verification on a wifi only tablet, it seems they consider you using a mobile device to be enough to prove you're not a bot. It only starts demand a phone if you make like 4+ in a row.

You have ti understand that Google makes money by charging advertizers to show you ads and by selling advertizers any info they can glean about you.
So any means they have to get any info at all is used.
