I have never been so comfortable as I am in my dorm right now. Only have 2 other roommates in an apt made for 4, so I have a room to myself. Planning on making a new keyboard soon and building myself a server that isn't a shitty old AMD fire hazard.

It's a generic cantilever desk from an office supply place. I quite like that the second set of uprights is in the middle rather than both sets being toward the back though, makes it more stable.

It's genuinely the most comfortable mouse I've ever owned. It's nowhere near as fat as it looks in that picture, that's just the angle.

That's a nice desk, though I'm not sure what one would actually use it for, certainly not suited for computer use.

Not to mention that I don't use the numpad 80% of the time, so having a full-size on my desk doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

a fine dell inspiron with a lose power jack and a dead battery that would cut out without some finess and/or electric tape. The headphone jack was also lose. It ran smooth with WinXP.

Internet was via the awus cantenna there; cracked a neighbor across the street's wifi. On a good day I could browse 4chan, textboards, check my e-mail, or watch a 240p youtube vid.

I see your station every time I come to /g/ and bst, and while I find it fairly comfy, your gear is absolute shit tier. Money is not an excuse, there are great cheap ips monitors etc that shit on everything you have.

I try to fly every weekend, but if the weather is bad I build instead. And as I tend to post on /bst/ more at weekends, I guess it looks like I'm always working on them. It's a huge pain moving all the stuff onto the desk then clearing it up again afterwards, so there's no way I'd do it just to pose. Have a weekday photo for contrast~

Interesting for you to say that because I was thinking the same recently. The light coming from my cabinet is a very cold white color but I can change the temperature of the LEDs so I might try that in combination with less minimalism. I think other parts of the room are fine but those are less relevant to the picture.

not that anon, but actually it makes a (theoretical) difference since our ears' horizontal "resolution" is way better than the vertical one they do act as a more spread out source and therefore a less precise stereo image that way, that's why no matter how big a speaker is it's almost always built vertically, and if not then at least the tweeters are centered and still vertically stacked with the midrange, pic related
but yeah, practically there's no difference with a speaker that small

>>58905270
>what's wrong with the position of the screen?
i didnt mean it in a bad way anon. to me it just looks very uncomfortable, the screen is to far away and to high up, it is going to mandate that you sit with a straight back all the way forward.

like i said im probably an aspie, so lighting bothers me a lot, specially white light like that, its fine at work but at home? fuck that. if you're happy with your bst that is all it matters.

They are XTZ and what the other anon said, as long as it's within the general area of your ears, doesn't matter that much for the size.
These are designed to stand on whatever side, even recommended as a center speaker.

Typing on it isn't as bad as I thought it'd be, but then again before I got it I thought it'd be physically painful to just punch in short terminal commands. It's okay for basic terminal usage & light IRC chatting. They're $69 atm, but add shipping & import tax/fees to that - if you buy one, you may as well add some of the actual $9 CHIP computers (the Pocket CHIP comes with one integrated) to your order just to get the most out of your shipping cost.

Honestly could not tell you anon I'm dog shit with DOS. get a new desk
>>
>>58909598
Why? Because of the color?
>>58909614
Yeah, this desk was bought 4-5 years ago.
>>
>>58909622
Why?

>floppies
>tiny computer desk with keyboard tray
>5.25" control panel in HAF case
>plastic surface mouse pad with picture print

The whole composition just says "last decade" more than anything else.
>>
>>58909676
my dad gave these floppies to me, idk why they're not in the trash.
I'm a big guy and this desk someway is comfortable to me.
I wanted a fan controller, i had 12 fans on my PC in the past.. i bought this 2y ago, i like it desu.

I have a black mousepad, but i dont feel comfortable while using it. I bought this one for $2 and at least it's working better than my other one.
But you're right, i'll buy another desk in the future. thanks anon
>>
>>58909787
I didn't say you should replace what you're comfortable with. I just said it looks old. If the floppies have important stuff on them, you should save them on a more durable medium before it's too late.

Wasnt that bad.

>>58907056
here you go
>>
>>58909837
It was needed for the 400i, they sounded very bland otherwise. So the DAC itself is quite good and the amp is really strong for such a small portable package.

I wanted a portable one so I didn't need to plug it into the wall everytime I wanted to use it. Bringing it with me if I'm staying away.
It's expensive, but I feel like it's worth it.

As for carrying with you outside, sure, you need larger pockets or carry a backpack.

I can't stand Guinness ahah.

>>
>>58913535
If it's used as a computer peripheral, it's a monitor. Just like you say a component is an Amp/DAC when it's plugged into your computer, but it's a receiver when you plug it into a dedicated audio system.

If you've got a problem with that, your real problem is autism.
>>
>>58913535
KBT Pure Pro looks interesting, but if you're going for a layout like that with the arrow keys and everything, I'd suggest you pick up a tada68 as it comes with far better keycaps.

Other than that, there's the Anne Pro and the RK61, but honestly, I don't dabble in 60% a whole lot. What are you using now, a pok3r?
>>
>>58904393
9/10 Really like this.
>>
>>58913645
I'm using the Pure 60%
It's not the same as a Pure Pro. It doesn't have the arrow keys for starters.

I was looking at the Anne Pro but I'm not sure. The wireless is interesting but I've no idea how battery life on it is.

The tada68 looks wonderful but the non-standard shift key is going to be a pain in the ass when shopping for caps. Though the default caps look nice anyway. It's also expensive.

I believe it's mechanical - guy who gave it to me said it was. He bought it from aliexpress, but hated the US layput so I got it as a freebie. Apart from the | & # keys being in the wrong place, I quite like it. Dont believe it's mechanical myself though, I think it's "mechanical feel". Need to tear down to be sure

Mouse absolute shit, but will replace on payday
>>
>>58918308
fair enough.
It looks mechanical.
If it's from ali then it's likely using kailh switches which I've found tend to feel a bit mushier than Mx switches.

It took a long while to get used to US layout KBs considering I'm in the UK but I can't stand to use ISO UK keyboards anymore.
US Keyboards are better for programming too imo.

The mouse wheel mechanism that they use in the Anywhere MX, MX Master, and Marathon M705 all make clanging noises when you move the mouse quickly because the scroll wheel slides from side to side a tiny bit.

Also you are a gigantic lying faggot.
>>
>>58919116
Why exactly is that a problem?
I have to shake the thing pretty fucking violently to get any kind of sound out of it whatsoever.
There is no reason I'd ever have to move the thing that fast.
>>
>>58919136
Mechanically it really isn't a problem. Some people may not like it though. A heavy flywheel that literally slams to the left and right when you move the mouse quickly, you can feel the thunderous vibrations jarring your fingers.

I mean its fine if you are used to operating a jackhammer but it triggered me when I first tried one.
