If you're so concerned with privacy, why not use StartPage?
>Google search results, with complete privacy protection. Behind StartPage is an european company that has been obsessive about privacy since 2006

DuckDuckGo doesn't even get a mention on privacytools.io
>>
Duckduck.go's results are not that impressive tbqh.
>>
I use the superior Searx.

Tell me about Searx. Does it provide good results?

this

I use SP, usually does the trick. When I need to search something extra specific I use Jewgle with search link fixed

I do use Startpage, optimized for maximum comfy.
>>
I really like Startpage but I noticed that it's a bit slower then Google.
I would use it but there is absolutely no fucking point for me, I have a few email accounts with Google.
>>
>>58889842
>not using Yandex
The Russians don't give a shit about what you search as long as it's not against Russian interests. And fat chance that they're gonna hand over anything to the US government.
>>
>>58890488
Just switch to ProtonMail.
>>
>>58890527
My only problem would be transferring everything to my Proton and Tuta emails. Don't know how I am gonna do that. Any future accounts are gonna be made with them.
>>
>>58890338
Are you me? That theme is really brilliant.

SP does have some weaknesses though, it can't do stuff like Google's unit/currency conversions which are super handy.
>>
>>58890338
teach me senpai
>>
>>58890669
Go to settings and set Homepage theme to Night, then if you like me want to use Startpage without JavaScript enabled, set Results per page to 100 because without JavaScript you won't be able to switch page when searching. The rest is up to you and then you can either have it stored as a cookie or generate URL if you don't want it to use cookies.
>>
>>58889947
Startpage less than a year ago was better.
Even if you choose no filter they censor the results
for images i use yandex
For web search searx, ixquick.eu and startpage
>>
>>58890521
fuck off slav. yandex is a wannabe google. read their privacy policies.
>>
>>58890731
Oh yeah... I should add that not having JavaScript enabled might break the image/video search, which doesn't matter to me since I don't use them.

Also if you want, here are my uBlock Origin filters for Startpage (or you can just use the element picket and remove what you want):

||startpage.com/graphics/*google
||startpage.com/graphics/feature
||startpage.com/graphics/eng/

Oh right i forgot that thing existed and was messing with the css instead kek, thanks dude.

>google search results

Yeah, no. I find myself having to switch to using Google for about 1 in 10 searches because Startpage returns no results.

God I wish Google wasn't such a privacy nightmare because it really is the best search engine.
>>
>>58890854
example? most people either dont know what search words to use or are used to tailored results because google has built a profile on them.
I use searx btw

Same. Its results are fine for more general searches but it's shit for more specific keyword searches.

>>
>>58890854
That's why you use searx. Never omitted a result when compared with google.
>>
>>58893748
It does. It's that Google's results are personalized at all times via pixel tracking and such. .

Prove it

tried to find FL Studio 12.4.1 R2R, it gave me a bunch of fakes and paywall sites.

Searx doesn't seem to work in firefox with right click > "search searx" on highlighted words. That's a dealbreaker for me. Too bad.
