I don't completely replace my tech often, and upgrade it whenever possible.

Still using the same (for the most part) PC I built in 2008; aside from upgrading ram and the gpu it's pretty much the same.

My current laptop (which I got in 2010) is pretty old and starting to show it's age, but not bad enough to warrant buying a new one (only really use it for web browsing, email, and ssh).
