Im gonna buy a laptop for college, which one should I buy?
It'd be mostly used for movies, and browsing the web and the other standard stuff. maybe light emulation. Which one should i go for if i want something future proof (as much as you can). I don't have a budget

MacBook Air, 2013 model is in a sweet spot for price-reliability. Yes, it's a mac and /g/ will go more mental than a retarded monkey. However, I've been using an Air as my daily driver for simple shit for almost five years now with no issues whatsoever.
The new MacBooks are horrifically overpriced though, don't touch those. But there's a reason people still use five-year-old MacBook Pros with no issues whatsoever.

I concur with this. I use this model everyday and love the look, size, and battery life. Got mine new on ebay for about $800.
