Which Android release was the worst, /g/?
>>
Anything after kitkat
>>
>>58882928

either ICS or JB
>>
JB. It was pretty featureful but it was very poorly optimized.
>>
The one that caused my phone to become a social media hub.
>>
>>58883495
Android 2.2?
>>
Android was garbage pre-KitKat.
>>
>>58882928

Because java is a shit!

4.4.2 is dope on low end phones
>>

>Android was garbage pre-KitKat.

I disagree. I think it got good at ICS
>>
>>58882928
every release of android was utter shit.
and android was a mistake
>>
>>58882928
GingerCake
>>
Honeycomb, completely pointless

>>58883788
I'd say before Ice Cream Sandwich, Jellybean is when Android became king
>>
Lollipop because memory leaks, draining the battery.
>>
Anything before 2.3 . Which was the best version ever
>>
>>58884167
Fucking this, it wasn't just poorly optimized like JB, it was buggy and broken.
>>
>>58884167
>>58884196

I was so mad that nexus 4 was dropped for android 6 support since lollipop is such a piece of shit even on google's own hardware

never mind the original nexus 7, it's basically unusable on lollipop
>>
>>58883834
5.1 performs better
>>
>>58882928
3.0
>>
>>58884232
Lollipop, Kitkat and Jellybean ran fine on my Nexus 4. The only weak spot of the Nexus 4 is the shitty battery. There are a lot of custom roms available for the Nexus 4.
>>
>>58884275
This. I'm surprised /g/ doesnt realize that
>>
Gingerbread was a pretty huge fuckup.

Everything got better with ICS though and I stopped using custom roms.

5.0

They changed basically everything so of course it was buggy as hell.
>>
>>58882928
ICS, JB was better but not too much, new ones are fine i guess
Gingerbread was the shit, i miss its simplicity
>>
>>58886328
I'll trust the creators of Android before I use a corporate offshoot ran by a bunch of investment baiters and people hired because they are good at shilling to niggers.

t. loyal dipshit

Cyanocuck'd levels literally overflowing for people that get strung along by a respin of a respin of a respin so they can rebuild a brand that will fail.
>>
>>58882928
5, basically this >>58882990
>>
>>58883834
6.0.1 performs better on my device. 4.4.2 doesn't even have battery optimizing. It's impossible to use 4.4.2 without root.

It doesn't surprise me. Samsung delivers security updates. Notice my phone is almost 3 years old and it received an update last month. The reason Samsung doesn't update shit every two weeks is because they have a shit ton of phones and can't handle that many different devices, which is in my opinion a retarded business plan but at least they don't abandon the phones like American companies, InFocus for example. The rule of thumb is if the device is $150 or cheaper, or made by a chink-tier company, it won't get updates.
