Did anyone else fileshare between cellphones back in the 00s?
Yes, it is also still a thing. Also had a phone that when paired could view the whole directory of the other.
Yeah man. I remember mainly using infrared transfer though, for some reason I remember Bluetooth being relatively uncommon.

I never used infrared but I always saw it in anime. People exchanging contact info with it, always wondered why no one used it in the US
I used Bluetooth, friend of mine had a nokia that once paired I could access all his photos/videos whenever I wanted as long as his Bluetooth was on.

because IR is slow af and even a dust speckle can fuck it up
I used IR to send a java app opera mini back when I was still using Windows Mobile 200X.
May have used it to send contact information a few times or tried anyway.

IR was fucking trash, man. One song would transfer longer than it would actually play.

I know, I never used IR myself. Don't you see the Bluetooth logo in pic related?

I got my first bluetooth capable phone only in 2007. Hardly counts as 00s.
I did it but not in the 2000s. I did it in like 2010 or so. Transferred songs and photos.
