Which island did you go to? Gas is like $1/gallon more expensive that most of the US. When I was there it was a pain in the ass to get stuff from ebay and woot shipped to me because no one wanted to shit outside of the 48. And food was way more expensive than it was when I lived in flordia though not as expensive when I moved to canada (alberta).

Also if you're on Oahu the traffic is fucking awful and internet was shit when I was there.
