The only way to get good pay in IT is to constantly look for work and never accept a lower pay than you currently have. Expect to never work at a single place for more than a few years at the most. If you're not getting promoted , tell your boss to go fuck themselves and go someplace else.

P much this or you get in early somewhere and become like head of IT or some department. Other than that you'll find that entry level jobs pay very well upfront, however long term promotions/salary increases are few and far between.

yep. it's way easier to increase your salary by changing jobs than by exceeding at what you currently do.
also, do market research. attend an interview at least once every few months so you know how valuable your skillset is.
