which is worse, mpv or vlc?

VLC is worse but MPC doesnt have half the volume controls VLC has so i keep using it.

mpv by far, because it's poorly put together. It doesn't even have official builds or even an official GUI. The only thing that allows them to deliver such an unpolished product and achieve a modest level of popularity is the fact that there will always be hipsters trying to use edgy stuff; mpv should be considered a product in alpha at most, but since Lincucks have no good video software they have to lower their standards and accept mpv as if it was any good.

On the other hand, VLC is a product that works great OOTB and has official builds for many platforms, but you can't be a snowflake if you use what's popular.
