If you're white and can do math you'd realize that even with 20/20 vision you have to sit no further than 2 screen diagonals to tell the difference between SD and HD, and no further than 1/2 diagonal to see the difference between HD and 4K.

Try it yourself and see. For all practical purposes at typical 12' from the TV living room distance old Laserdiscs on a good CRT have no less distinguishable detail than 4K content.

It's all fucking memes to convince you to re-buy the same shit over and over. If you have an enormous 64"+TV, or commonly sit so close to your screen that if you stick your arm out it hits the screen, you are excused FOR EVEN BOTHERING WITH HD BLU-RAY. If not, you fell for a meme.
