Build this computer a year ago and never gave me any problems. Recently though it won't start up completely. The fans should spin and the light would turn on for a second or two then turn off and try again every 7 seconds or so. I thought it was all the dust so I cleared it out with compressed air but it's still doing it. Anyone know what it is and how to fix it? Thank you.

power supply too weak

Try reseating the memory and power supply connections to the Mobo. I would assume it is a motherboard issue if that doesn't work. I doubt it is a power supply problem, the computer needs almost no power to boot.

Your CPU is overheating, reapply the thermal paste.

How could a CPU possibly overheat in 7 seconds, while booting nonetheless

im with this exept probably strong enough just a piece of shit.

get a good psu. switched to a 520 seasonic from an old 550w rosewill 3 years ago and havent had a problem yet.

You aren't going to overload a 320w power supply booting. It might already have a blown capacitor though, which could be the cause of the problem. Try looking inside the power supply and look for a blown capacitor

Thanks, that did it, just needed to reset the power supply to the Mother Board
