If you're on Windows, yes. It will load a generic driver that doesn't support fancy effects or high resolution, and from there you can install the regular driver.

If you're on Linux, well, it depends. You'll probably need to recompile the kernel with updated streaming SIMD extension set instructions, and set the master boot record to override the automatic filler-panic mode.

Naa B. Just some hefty hardware. This is my build in the speccy.

The CPU is OC'd to 4.0 GHz, and I'd like to OC the GPU's. Right now, on a test bench with a 480x60mm rad (and only one set of fans when it should be push/pull) I get like 70C max on the CPU and 45C max on the GPU's. I'd like to keep a similar temperature once I put it in a case.

1070 sli is better price/perf if the AAA games you want to play support SLI. 1080 is probably the better choice in general because one powerful card is always gonna be better than two less powerful cards.

i'd suggest 1070 sli and the money you save should get spent on an evga g2/3 psu and some industrial black noctua fans. will look amazing.
