Trump's tax is simple, if your company is registered in the US but makes its product elsewhere, it's a 30% markup. Doesn't matter what it is.
You better believe companies will be scrambling to make factories for the home market because no one will buy a quad core i7 for $500

But if AMD isn't building a factory in US like Intel is about to, then my next computer will be Intel CPU (and I have literally been waiting for AMD Zen since it was first announced).

Anyone know if Nvidia is doing something similar? Because if they are, I will buy Nvidia GPU next time.

The hyporcrisy of the GOP party is abundant in this time period when they are merely trying to score political points. Look for instance at infrastructure spending and you'd know right away republicans would be invoking Stalin and the "whole axis of evil" for why this shpuldnt be done, not to mention they were also chief supporters of free trade deals like the TPP. But dont be fooled by trump's con-talk either--he has done very little for actual workers and has consistently picked members who actively work against consumer protections and glorifies corporate profit interests. For the most part, things that trump has taken credit for were already long coming, previously planned and/or recieve massive tax-payer fund suprofies.

>Neoliberal free market Capitalism for the past 40 years?
Are you leftist retards really this fucking stupid?

When have we ever had "Neoliberal free market Capitalism".

We got off the gold standards completely in the 1970s.We've had a system of central banks inflating the money supply and the USA as the world reserve currency.

We literally have a system where central banks print trillions of dollars and give it to bankers and corporations while the rest of us get into massive debt and lose purchasing power.
How the fuck is this "free market capitalism"?

Kill yourself you deceptive little shit.
>>
>>58855305

The left has been saying one thing and doing another for years, why do you takr seriously what any politician has to say ever? In this context though, there is left and right, AKA the globalist establishment. What Trump is doing is not left or right, it is nationalist. He wants prosperity for Americans in America. The extension of that logic is this whole deal. You want to be headquartered in the US and enjoy all the benefits that entails? Make your products here or face tarrifs, also if you stay youll enjoy some tax and regulation cuts.
There are nationalist Republicans and Democrats who are the enemy of globalist Republicans and Democrats. Its been the globalists whove had the power the last 60 years and have slowly allowed the destruction of NA manufacturing and industry.

>defund sanctuary cities
>hiring freeze and wage freeze on the bureaucracy
>end TPP
>renegotiate NAFTA
>build the Dakota Pipeline
>repeal Obamacare so you are no longer stupidly forced to pay a penalty even if you don't have health insurance
>prevent federal agencies from publicly lying
>stop the waste of American taxpayer money on abortions in foreign countries
>block immigration from some Arab countries
>ban government workers lobbying after their careers are over
>restricting H1-Bs
and also:
>nominating someone who respects every citizens' Constitutional rights for the Supreme Court

Every single one of those is good for the American citizenry if you can ignore the media lies and propaganda and think for yourself.

The fact is, Obama, and Bush, and Clinton, and every president since JFK if not earlier, did absolutely nothing to stop the flow of American jobs going to foreigners, and actively encouraged it with garbage trade deals and doing nothing to incentivize companies to keep their jobs in America, because every single President was a puppet for the globalist bankers who have been intentionally running this country into the ground. Now we finally have a President who isn't a globalist puppet, who wants to do and has been doing what's best for the American people, and you act like he's the one hurting you, and not the previous 9+ Presidents who all actively worked for the globalist elites against the American people. Quit the bullshit about "Drumpf" and protesting completely legal and Constitutional executive orders designed to help the American people, and support our first President who isn't a globalist puppet in 50+ years if you want America to start unfucking itself from all the damage every puppet did.

Intel's Atom line failed pretty spectacularly in the smartphone market, they did somewhat alright in tablets, and entry level PCs. Though they've apparently retired the line after Cherrytrail. The newest Apollo Lake Atoms aren't Atoms any more, they're sold as Pentiums, and they carry a price tag of $100~ for top SKUs. They're not offering any 5w~ TDP parts either. Apparently they plan for the dual core CoreM parts to take up that role.
I don't think we'll see any more small core parts from intel, unless they need to keep developing the arch for their Xeon Phis, but who knows how long that'll last. With no low end sales to subsidize costs of development it might get axed.

President Trump never said he won't deal with them too. Building the wall and deporting immigrants who entered illegally was always just part of his plan.
>but this has always been going on and it's something Hillary was also planning to do.
Not true, she's always talked about open borders and amnesty. At best, she would've continued Obama's definition of "deportations", which is merely stopping new illegals at the border and not getting rid of the illegals we already have.
>you don't need to freeze salaries to restructure. it's a heavy handed act that only punishes the people who voted for him.
Bureaucrat salaries were already out of control for the little work they do. And parasites like government workers aren't the people who would vote for someone like Trump who wants to trim the fat and save taxpayers money
>you should invest in renewables. not perpetuate your dependence on fossil fuels.
We can do both, but even if we don't, at least Trump has done something to help our energy situation. The problem with previous Presidents is they did neither, but they seem to get a pass, while Trump does something good and still gets criticized.
>I'd agree only if he intended to introduce real first-world healthcare.
The beauty of repealing Obamacare is that having nothing is better than having Obamacare. No more penalties, and no more inflated premiums to pay for the additional bureaucracy. But a Medicare For All system would be better than either.
>I guess it's OK that he's putting a gag order on climate scientists too.
They have a history of putting out false data if it helps them get funding, too much conflict of interest.

It's freaking crazy how at least one has already called for a military coup. Both sides do a lot of bickering but after the last 8 years you'd think people would start to be willing to compromise and work together. It's like having a ship with oars and each side wants to go the other way, at some point it's like we just need to tell people they're being immature about things instead of the "no he did it first" playground bullcrap. Because it's not like free markets work or don't in an absolute way. It depends on the circumstances. For example, when there's room for growth free markets are ok. But we're in zero-sum land now: become protectionist or starve.

Also asymmetry is great when you can get away with it. There's China, who wants free markets outside but is ferociously protectionist inside. And back in the day America used to rape Britain's intellectual property shamelessly, then became the copyright overlord.

There's no individuals trading amongst each other under marxian communism. Only the state is allowed to do that.

Why do socialists think they will gain anything from taking over the means of production?

Why are they stupid enough to think their personal material wealth will somehow increase when in reality it won't?

This is probably the biggest hole in socialist theories yet hardly anyone here talks about it.

>communist revolution
>take every last penny from capitalists
>divided up amongst everyone it works out to about $500 per person(yes that little)
>go to spend that money
>prices increase because no new consumer goods are produced in this situation
>workers are in the same exact situation they were the revolution but now the economy is completely destroyed

OR

>communist revolution
>every consumer good the capitalists own is split up and given to the workers
>it's such an extremely small amount of goods that not even 1% of workers will be able to get any of this

OR

>communist revolution
>money is abolished
>workers take over the means of production completely
>the same exact quantity of consumer goods that was being produced under capitalism are again produced
>the working class has to work JUST AS HARD and JUST AS LONG as they did under capitalism to produce the same amount of shit they were previously consuming
and this scenario is forgetting about the economic calculation problem and the fact economies like this never work.

Either way you go about this there's no getting "MUH SURPLUS VALUE" back. 99.5% of the consumer goods the working class was producing was already being consumed and owned by the working class, not the capitalists. The capitalists own only extremely small amounts of consumer goods(houses, cars boats, tvs, food, porn, medicine) compared to what the whole working class owns.

I disagree. The actual Net Neutrality legislation that everyone adamantly defends has very little to do with neutrality. The regs that emerged under the Obama admin aren't good, giving up control over ICANN isn't good either.

Removing regulations isn't a bad thing. What the FCC needs to do is enforce the 1997 telecom act where ISPs were obligated to upgrade their infrastructure, and make them offer fiber everywhere across America. End their monopoly on service by allowing municipalities to create their own local ISPs. Thats what we need for real innovation in internet speeds and connection quality. Every single stretch of America could have gigabit internet no matter how rural or remote, but ISPs are preventing it, and I never see any of you people complain about that.
If Obama outlawed cable internet and made everyone go back to DSL I'm sure liberals would have been perfectly okay with that, since the lot of you treated him like black jesus who could do no wrong.

Ohhhh, so it's about "surplus value"?
Don't you cucks always complain that the capitalists are taking your surplus value and you want to get it back?

Face it, there's no reason for a socialist revolution. It will just make everyone poorer and take away their rights.

The capitalists aren't exploiting you.
The working class already CONSUMES 99% of all consumer goods. You are already producing what you are consuming.

>the actual goals of communism
What?
Massive poverty?
Massive brainwashing?

It's pretty hilarious you wastes of life believe that:
a) The state will somehow magically "wither away".
b) Under actual communism(which you claim is anarchy) people wouldn't just start trading with each other and forming private property.

The reality is:

>wealthy aristocratic class urges dumb masses to do violence for the sake of "liberation"
>dumb masses ruin infrastructure
>get their liberation
>dumb masses think they're inheriting a utopia
>they're now told they own everything
>but they still have to work
>people who never farmed before will be forced to farm so they don't starve
>most of their crops will be redistributed to other starving people
>factory workers have horrible working hours and conditions
>will be killed and replaced for not working hard enough
>dumb masses can't afford anything
>wealthy aristocrats sit back and laugh as they can afford luxury goods
>with societal order totally upended no one can oppose them
>dumb masses are utterly enslaved

Communism isn't every really tried because its a fictional concept. It can't be tried because it can't exist. One group of people will always remain in power. The party officials live in opulence while the workers live in squalor. There is always a ruling class of social elite, Communism just solidifies power in an even smaller number of hands, and drastically increases the poor working class by making them slaves for life.
Capitalist systems provide mobility through the market. Socialism only has mobility within the party.
