This is fascinating: http://waitbutwhy.com/2015/01/artificial-intelligence-revolution-1.html
How do you think humanity will end if an ASI is acheived?

Hopefully. Emotions were an evolutionary mistake.

they werent.
Emotions are needed for the survival of a species.
A mother who doesnt love her child will abandon it.
A man who doesnt want to fuck will have no offspring.
A man who doesnt hate people from other tribes will not protect his own.
etc.
Almost all species have some kind of emotion, they are a huge part of what is keeping us and our tribe alive.

Clearly they weren't, idiot.

Artificial intelligence is a meme.
In old movies you can tell by the way they portrayed early computers that they thought they would be (sort of) intelligent already, as they heard that computers are machines that think or process data, and they didn't think they wouldn't have human-like intelligence as that's the only kind of intelligence they knew of.
Same with artificial intelligence, the "singularity", "ASI", or whatever. It'll literally only make more useful gadgets. I honestly don't understand the hype.

so edgy yet so unintelligent
just like the average fedora i guess

The AI winter will come soon.

And yet, a purely rational and unbiased AI would turn into a nihilistic idle machine the moment its turned on
