Which do you use? What do you use it for?
I've only really used Wine, is Mono any good?

Wine is what I use, but I've never looked into mono too hard.

>Comparing Wine and Mono
???
Mono is just for MS .NET programs
Wine is for full Windows programs and even supports .NET anyway
The only real use for mono is that it allows .NET programs to run natively on Linux

What the fuck are you even talking about? Mono is just an open source C# .NET implementation whereas Wine allows you to run Windows applications.

Mono is open source .Net, nothing to do with Wine a reimplementation of Windows APIs. I use Mono all the time (on both Windows and Linux), but, while I appreciate their efforts, have only experienced headaches with Wine.

Because the thinks that Linux is a viable option for everything, it's a good embedded and server OS, but not even close to being a proper desktop or productivity OS.
Wine and Mono are not in competition, because they do not run the same types of applications. Wine runs native Win32 applications, while Mono runs .NET applications. When Wine is given a .NET executable, it passes the buck off to Mono for the most part.
