I have an old Dish-TV dish lying around, should I bother building a wifi satellite out of it or just buy something like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003CFATOW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2L77EE7U53NWQ ?

i remember i was going to build a wifi version. but i believe it can only reach about a mile, never built it tho.

yeah they had a lot of luck in the middle of nowhere but I imagine distance isn't as good in city/surburbs. Its why I'm wondering if its even worth it to bother doing a build over just buying a pre-made dish for 50 bucks.

i wish i remember the equipment needed to build it, i dont think it was too hard to do it yourself assuming the had the parts or patience
yeah probably not, buildings and shit might fuck up from getting signal, but who knows.
